2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness Embraces Roots

Subaru is embracing its off-road adventure roots with the release of the 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness trim package. The Wilderness model will focus on amplifying the aspects of the Outback that Subaru-lovers admire most. It all starts with boosting the suspension nearly an inch (0.8 inches) to gain confidence tackling rough terrain and making quick work of impending obstacles. With a taller stance, approach and departure angles are increased to avoid unwanted body damage.

Attractive Exterior

The exterior has received a few custom tweaks for the newly introduced Outback. With wheels generally creating a large percentage of the look of the vehicle, 6-spoke all-black rims wrapped in a 225/65R-17 Yokohama Geolandar A/T. If you are familiar with the various types of tires, you’ll know that A/T represents All-Terrain. Rightfully so the Outback Wilderness will be at home on nearly any trail. The aggressive tires help bring together other unique features like the matte-black hood decal, attractive fog lights, copper-colored accent pieces, and a front skid plate for added protection.

Life Happens Interior

Die-hard nature lovers will appreciate that the interior will be outfitted with Subaru StarTex that will repel water for those aquatic escapades. Once the second row is folded down you will find that it is also waterproof, so there will be no worries loading and unloading your equipment. There is also a full-size spare in the rear? A number of automakers are doing away with factory spare tires, never mind a full-size to keep you going strong. Camping trips, weekend getaways, and off-road fun can yield a lot of supplies, so a roof rack with a rating of 700 pounds should help with added belongings.
