Braintree FD Charity Golf Tournament Raises Nearly $40,000

Braintree, MA– The Braintree Fire Department announced their fourth annual charitable
golf tournament fundraiser raised nearly $40,000 which will be used to benefit several
local charities, individuals, and families in Braintree.

James O’Brien, one of the event organizers, Friends of Braintree Firefighters, said the
event was a success and well-attended at the Braintree Municipal Golf Course, where
they hosted 156 golfers and attracted several corporate sponsors.

Quirk Auto Dealers was one of the companies involved in this year’s fund-raising efforts
and contributed $5,000.00 for the event.

Quirk Auto, Brewster Ambulance, Peter & Heather Thompson, Clements Property
Investments, Olde Towne Realty, and many more. Your generosity will help individuals
and families affected by COVID and other unfortunate circumstances.”, said O’Brien.

Several charities benefiting include, The Sun Will Rise Again Foundation, in memory of
Nick Bean, The Marge Crispin Center, Out of the Darkness Foundation for Suicide
Prevention and a few others.
